Review - Just Cause 3

Just Cause 3 has finally been unleashed upon us, and judging by the trailers and previews leading up to the games released it seemed like third time the charm, but sadly, Just Cause 3 is riddled with the same problems the previous games encountered, glitches, game breaking bugs and repetitive gameplay, however it is still a whole lot of fun blowing up stuff though

Review - Fallout 4

It is that time of the year again, it is Fallout season. As a long time Fallout fan you can imagine my excitement when our PS4 review code for Fallout 4 finally came. Fallout 4 seems familiar the second you start playing it if you have previously played a Fallout game (Fallout 3 most noticeable), but the tweaks and improvements in Fallout 4 are much more noticeable as soon as you put a few hours into it. Kick back and relax because judging by the share size of this game this is going to be a long review for the PS4 version of Fallout 4

Review - Call of Duty Black Ops III

Third times the charm is a saying that rarely holds any meaning, the same can be said for Call of Duty Black Ops 3 seeing as the previous two on the series has seen incredible success and it was a no-brainer that we would get a third in the series. The question is however, can Treyarch have lightning strike thrice ? If you want the answer you should check out this review for Call of Duty: Black Ops III for the Playstation 4

Review - WWE 2K16

If you smell what 2K is cooking then it might be because it is a familiar smell and you might already know what it tastes like. WWE 2K15 released last year to a lukewarm reception and as I long-time wrestling fan, and wrestling-game fan I have always wanted the series to become better and better as the years went by, but sadly it has been the other way around. Last years release was one of the worst in my opinion but since this is the only yearly series of wrestling games being released I keep coming back for more, hoping it will be better. Now I promised myself, that if WWE 2K16 wasn't better than last years release I would never go back to the series, and I am glad to admit that it is better than last years release, but it still isn't great

Review - Samurai Warriors 4-II

Samurai Warriors is back and this time with a follow-up to the previously released Samurai Warriors 4. It is not an expansion and it is not DLC but a stand-alone release in the series. However slapping a 2 at the end of an already numbered title always confuses me so I was eager to check out the reason as to why this is a new game and not a revamped previous release. I found Samurai Warriors 4-II to be a mixed bag and it all depends what you expecting heading into this game

A Newbie Conquers Final Fantasy

In the following months I will dive deep into the land of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. In this series of articles I will share my journey as a completely newbie of both the series, yes I am a Final Fantasy newbie and not especially proud of the fact, and the genre. I have tried to get into numerous FF releases but nobody has really grabbed me, I have also dabbled into numerous MMOs with the same end result. This time its different, I think I have found the reason as to why so many people love this game especially because somehow Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has managed to do the one thing that other MMOs couldn't, get me passed level 20 and still have my interest. So join me as I stumble across the beautiful land and learn, by failing mostly, how to master this game and hopefully reach level 50 at some point

Review - Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below

This is not the Dragon Quest game you are looking for, wait, before you stop reading this review let me explain what that sentence really means. Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below (which might just be one of the longest titles in history) isn't your typical Dragon Quest game but there is enough Dragon Quest lore in here for any fan to still appreciate it. Still not making sense? Then keep reading our review of Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below

Review - Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

Uncharted has been a flagship title for the Playstation ever since Uncharted: Drake's Fortune first released back in 2007 for the Playstation 3. Not only was it an incredible experience gameplay-wise but also a stunning powerhouse, back then, when it came to the visuals. Since then two more games has dropped in the series Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. All games managed to push the power of the consoles and improved both visuals and gameplay mechanics to the brim, so it goes without saying that the before the fourth instalment of the series Uncharted 4: A Thief's End drops early next year we get a bundle with the previous three games revamped for the Playstation 4 called Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

Review - Transformers Devastation

Back in the day there was two things that mattered to me, He-Man and his Universe and Transformers. As a die hard fan of both of those series it saddens me that there really never has been a game adaptation of either that has really struck me, not saying there has been a ton of He-Man games but Transformers on the other hand has seen a nice set of releases since the 80s. The latest release in the Transformers franchise is Devastation and it is by far the most beautiful and nostalgic Transformers game ever released, sadly it is too short and the scenario never really changes all that much, but man oh man how I love this game

Review - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5

Here we are, nearly 16 years since the first Tony Hawk Pro Skater released. I played the game on my Playstation and it was the first time I had ever put a skateboard game on my top 10 games of that year (I am not forgetting Skate or Die, I just didn't make lists back then). I have always been a skater in real life until I got older and couldn't keep up with “those darn kids and their hover-boards”, but I never lost interest in the art of skateboarding and followed the series with every release it saw. And it is with a sad heart and a confused mind I type up this review with only really one question lingering in the back of my head this whole time, what the hell happened?

Review - Skylanders Superchargers

Toys-to-life is a phenomenon without questions, the way the toys-to-life concept has blossomed over the last couple of years is nothing but amazing. Now some of you might have a different view of these toys that you can interact with but as a father of two it is more of a love hate kind of thing. I love seeing my kids interact with them but I hate buying them, so you can imagine my sigh of relief when I took it upon myself to review the latest in the Skylanders franchise, Skylanders Superchargers for the Playstation 4

Review - PES 2016

'tis the season to be jolly, if you are a football fan. I mean what better time of the year than when it is getting colder outside and you don't have to leave the comfort of your own home to kick that pesky ball around like some kind of lunatic. I mean seriously, why couldn't real football be as easy as video games? Fear not, tis the season for football games to release and we all know there are really only two, Fifa and PES, this year we have chosen the winner and therefore we have only one review, our PES 2016 review and the reason why PES 2016 is the best football game out there right now

Review - NBA 2K16

harden nba 2k16 1433455905690 19229208 ver1.0 640 480

Take me back to the 90s when the words “A Spike Lee Joint” meant that you were about to see something revolutionary, the year however is 2016 or should I say 2K16. A new era of sport games has come and gone and last years release in the NBA 2K series saw a improved game which I personally though would have just kept improving but sadly this is not the case this time around, but relax, sit down and rest your eyeballs on this as we go for nothing but nets with the latest release from 2K, NBA 2K16

Review - Destiny: The Taken King

Do you feel like a reason to head back into the wonderful world of Destiny? Have you given up hope on the game as you, and many other, had enough of being cheated out of engram but yet secretly hoped it would get fixed because the shooting is some of the best in any shooter game out there? Tired of the same old missions, head back to the tower, collect your rewards and head back out and wished for more content? Think you are levelled up enough for it not to matter and dreaming about a brand new level cap? Well you my friend are going to love what I have to say about the newly released expansion for Destiny entitled The Taken King...

Review - Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

It is time for the swansong to commence and for us all to wave goodbye to what we all know and love as the Metal Gear Solid franchise. What started out as a weird game has turned into some of the most memorable experiences in gaming history. A story that has had us scratching and clawing at our heads trying to paste it all together to sum up a somewhat coherent story and with the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain we wave goodbye to the brilliant mind of Kojima, at least under the Konami umbrella, and what a way to go out it is. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is one of the best games released on the current gen consoles but it is also one of the least Metal Gear games in Kojima history

Review - Tearaway Unfolded

Tearaway is back and this time it gives players who didn't get to experience this beautiful gem of a game when it first released on the Playstation Vita, who owns a Playstation 4, a chance to experience it for themselves. And if you are like me, a grown man with kids or just really into chill out games aimed mostly for kids then there is no reason for you not to pick this up. Even if you played the original there are new stuff and new ways to play on the Playstation 4 that makes the game worth a second play through

Review - Until Dawn

These last couple of years survival horror games has taken a prominent place in the interest of gamers around the world. Not since the Resident Evil series ruled the world have we seen this many survival horror games being released, some with greater success than others. The only problem with survival horror games lately has been nailing the gameplay with the suspense, but along comes Until Dawn

Review - One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3

header37 1

One Piece has since its humble beginnings in the late 90s as a written manga series turned into a franchise with over 700 episodes released, thirteen animated feature films, two original video animation, and five television specials. It has produced numerous merchandise such as trading cards and last but certainly not least, games. We are here, once again, to review the latest game in the hugely popular One Piece series, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 on the Playstation 4. Can too much of anything become a burden or does Luffy and his pirate buddies manage to pull it off once again?

Review - Onechanbara Z2: Chaos

OneeChanbara or Onechanbara, onee-chan, the Japanese word translates into “big sister” or according to Wiki “a colloquialism for a young adult woman”, while chanbara translates to “sword fighting”. Those two translations gives you a glimpse into what you are dealing with here, young adult bad ass women ready to kick ass. Some might say, if they just watch the screenshots of this game, that the game is sexist really haven’t played a OneeChanbara game. Sure the women are dressed in a certain way but once you get to control one of them you quickly realize they are bad ass killing machines. I got to play around with the latest western release entitled Onechanbara Z2: Chaos

Review - Goat Simulator (PS4)

How would you feel if I said to you that you could become a goat for as long as you like, you would probably look at me weird and walk across the road and try to avoid me in the future, but what if I added that this would only be available to you through the wonderful magic of video games. Yes, thanks to video games we can now all experience what it truly would be like to be a goat. After years of trucking (no pun intended) through different simulator games since almost the beginning of gaming we finally get what we all came here to see and experience, Goat Simulator on current-gen consoles
