Review - PES 2016

'tis the season to be jolly, if you are a football fan. I mean what better time of the year than when it is getting colder outside and you don't have to leave the comfort of your own home to kick that pesky ball around like some kind of lunatic. I mean seriously, why couldn't real football be as easy as video games? Fear not, tis the season for football games to release and we all know there are really only two, Fifa and PES, this year we have chosen the winner and therefore we have only one review, our PES 2016 review and the reason why PES 2016 is the best football game out there right now

Review - NBA 2K16

harden nba 2k16 1433455905690 19229208 ver1.0 640 480

Take me back to the 90s when the words “A Spike Lee Joint” meant that you were about to see something revolutionary, the year however is 2016 or should I say 2K16. A new era of sport games has come and gone and last years release in the NBA 2K series saw a improved game which I personally though would have just kept improving but sadly this is not the case this time around, but relax, sit down and rest your eyeballs on this as we go for nothing but nets with the latest release from 2K, NBA 2K16

Review - Destiny: The Taken King

Do you feel like a reason to head back into the wonderful world of Destiny? Have you given up hope on the game as you, and many other, had enough of being cheated out of engram but yet secretly hoped it would get fixed because the shooting is some of the best in any shooter game out there? Tired of the same old missions, head back to the tower, collect your rewards and head back out and wished for more content? Think you are levelled up enough for it not to matter and dreaming about a brand new level cap? Well you my friend are going to love what I have to say about the newly released expansion for Destiny entitled The Taken King...

Review - Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

It is time for the swansong to commence and for us all to wave goodbye to what we all know and love as the Metal Gear Solid franchise. What started out as a weird game has turned into some of the most memorable experiences in gaming history. A story that has had us scratching and clawing at our heads trying to paste it all together to sum up a somewhat coherent story and with the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain we wave goodbye to the brilliant mind of Kojima, at least under the Konami umbrella, and what a way to go out it is. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is one of the best games released on the current gen consoles but it is also one of the least Metal Gear games in Kojima history

Review - Tearaway Unfolded

Tearaway is back and this time it gives players who didn't get to experience this beautiful gem of a game when it first released on the Playstation Vita, who owns a Playstation 4, a chance to experience it for themselves. And if you are like me, a grown man with kids or just really into chill out games aimed mostly for kids then there is no reason for you not to pick this up. Even if you played the original there are new stuff and new ways to play on the Playstation 4 that makes the game worth a second play through

Review - Until Dawn

These last couple of years survival horror games has taken a prominent place in the interest of gamers around the world. Not since the Resident Evil series ruled the world have we seen this many survival horror games being released, some with greater success than others. The only problem with survival horror games lately has been nailing the gameplay with the suspense, but along comes Until Dawn

Review - One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3

header37 1

One Piece has since its humble beginnings in the late 90s as a written manga series turned into a franchise with over 700 episodes released, thirteen animated feature films, two original video animation, and five television specials. It has produced numerous merchandise such as trading cards and last but certainly not least, games. We are here, once again, to review the latest game in the hugely popular One Piece series, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 on the Playstation 4. Can too much of anything become a burden or does Luffy and his pirate buddies manage to pull it off once again?

Review - Onechanbara Z2: Chaos

OneeChanbara or Onechanbara, onee-chan, the Japanese word translates into “big sister” or according to Wiki “a colloquialism for a young adult woman”, while chanbara translates to “sword fighting”. Those two translations gives you a glimpse into what you are dealing with here, young adult bad ass women ready to kick ass. Some might say, if they just watch the screenshots of this game, that the game is sexist really haven’t played a OneeChanbara game. Sure the women are dressed in a certain way but once you get to control one of them you quickly realize they are bad ass killing machines. I got to play around with the latest western release entitled Onechanbara Z2: Chaos

Review - Goat Simulator (PS4)

How would you feel if I said to you that you could become a goat for as long as you like, you would probably look at me weird and walk across the road and try to avoid me in the future, but what if I added that this would only be available to you through the wonderful magic of video games. Yes, thanks to video games we can now all experience what it truly would be like to be a goat. After years of trucking (no pun intended) through different simulator games since almost the beginning of gaming we finally get what we all came here to see and experience, Goat Simulator on current-gen consoles

Review - Gauntlet Slayer Edition

Gauntlet has returned, and if you still haven't played a Gauntlet game it is about time. Gauntlet Slayer Edition gives you all the action you have come to expect from a Gauntlet game in the past, the only thing that is missing from this version is you do not need to fill your pockets with quarters for the arcade machine, other than that, it is pretty much everything a Gauntlet game should posses

Review - Submerged

Uppercut Games is a small independent game developer studio who recently released their latest game called Submerged. A game about a sister trying to save her wounded brother in a waste open water world armed with only a telescope it is your job to scale the buildings and find what you need to help your brother

Review - God of War III Remastered

I have played all the God of War games, and I still remember my jaw dropping when I first played God of War back on the Playstation 2. God of War 2 however was the game that made this one of my favourite series on the Playstation and I continued to follow the series as it progressed. And here I am, years later, replaying God of War 3 for the second time, on a Playstation 4 and wondering if it is all worth it

Review - Journey PS4

Journey was to me the most beautiful experience I had ever experienced on a Playstation when I first played Journey back when it released on the Playstation 3, so when I got word there was a new improved version about to release for the Playstation 4 I was first in line to request a review code, and the day it popped into my mail I knew that evening would become special

Review - Trials Fusion Awesome Level Max

awesome-level-newstrailer 210535

I have been an Trials fan since the first game released, since then I have laughed, cried, broken controllers and rejoiced, so who better than me to get my grabby paws on the new DLC from Red Lynx. I have played games since the late 80s but it is the first time I jumped onto the back of a unicorn as a kitty with a golden clock, and this is my review for Trials Fusion Awesome Level Max for the PS4

Review - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The Witcher is the most immerse open-world game ever created, that’s right, I said it. Even with its flaws this is the game to beat for game of the year on many gamers lists this year. I am even going to go as far as to say that this will change open-world games forever, if your game doesn’t have what The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has you will hear about it, trust me

Review - Project Cars (PS4)

Project Community Assisted Racing Simulator or CARS for short, was originally planned to see PS3 and Xbox 360 releases earlier, but was finally released on the current gen systems, and the reason as to why is easy to see as soon as you start playing. Project Cars looks absolutely amazing, and if racing simulator games is your thing then this is definitely the game you have been waiting for.

Review - Broken Age (PS4)

I grew up with adventure games, it is still my favourite genre of all time, but lately the genre has slowly faded out, much being because of the attention span of gamers nowadays, and the thought of them getting stuck on a puzzle more than a few minutes seems absurd. But Double Fine is trying to introduce new players to a genre that is in my eyes extremely slept-on, and give us old timers something to reminisce over. I get to play around with the PS4 release of Double Fine's Broken Age

Review - Shovel Knight (PS4)

There is a thin line between inspiration and plagiarism and Shovel Knight balances this perfectly. By paying homage instead of ripping off classic NES games it simply creates nostalgic magic for older gamers while introducing old school classic gameplay to the newer generation. This is one of the weirdest things I am about to write out for you but, Shovel Knight might be one of the best games I have played on a newer console...

Review - Bloodborne

Oh From Software, how much pain and torture you have bestowed upon me and still, here I am, with my hat in hand asking “can I have some more sir?”. I guess the fool me once saying doesn't really work on the From Software games as Demon Souls beat me, Dark Souls 1 and 2 beat me, and here I am hoping that Bloodborne would be a tiny bit more merciful, even though its not the same games, it is the same damn game, and I love it

Review - Toukiden: Kiwami

What some might call a slightly watered down version of Monster Hunter I personally feel that Toukiden: Kiwami is everything I wanted Monster Hunter to be and more. Now before you start lighting up your torches and sharpening your pitchforks at least hear me out and check out my review for Toukiden: Kiwami on the Playstation 4
