Review - qub

We here at TGP always start out our indie game reviews/previews the same way, we shine light on the fact that so many games are released every year flies right under the radar of most gamers simply because of either lack of publishing or the fact that a lot of these diamonds in the dirt are made up by a small team of developers that simply do not have the stage to adress a huge audience or the money to their word across. But if we can get atleast one more “triple A gamer” to try out one of the indie games we show off from time to time we always feel a lot better.

Review - Reaper Tale of a Pale Swordsman

splash reaper

Games jumping from Mobile to console or PC is no longer as foreign as it used to be and Reaper - Tale of a Pale Swordsman is no different, except it is different, in a way.

Review - JazzPunk

jazzpunk header image 02

In the last couple of days I have played a wedding clone of Quake, a cat scratching simulator, been attacked by a fruit bowl which turned into one epic fruit ninja type fight, I have played Gravy Racer which reminded me a lot of another game with a similar name, and all of this and so much more my brain almost imploded with entertainment all wrapped up into one beautiful game called JazzPunk and if you haven't heard of the game yet you should and this is why I will tell you why you should have played Jazzpunk at least twice.

Review - Tomb Raider Definitive Edition

More Tomb Raider you say? On a next-gen console you say?? Yes, a million times YES! This is basically what it sounded like in my head when I was approached with reviewing (for a second time) the newest Tomb Raider game, but this time it was on the rather lonely and dusty PS4, because let's face it people, the launch line-up for either machines were not all that great. But do not worry because this is one game you really need to experience on your next-gen magic box.

Review - Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD

Fresh off the boat, as we just reviewed Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag a few months back we get another Assassin's Creed release in the form of Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD available for PS3, PC and Xbox 360. Previously available only on the PS Vita this is a strict port for those of you that haven’t already experienced this game. We get to play around with the Xbox 360 version of the game and this is what we think about it.

Review - Zen Pinball 2 (PS4)

11341942684 2b896c3afc z

Taking something as classic as Pinball and putting it on a gaming console isn't as easy as some might think, there is something special about a Pinball machine, be it the nostalgic feel it used to give us or the sounds and bright lights that penetrated our minds, either way, we always have a little bit of fright in us everytime we check out a new Pinball game simply because we love them so much but luckily we haven't had anything but great experiences when it comes to Zen Pinball so we were more than eager to check out what it would look like on the PS4 with the release of Zen Pinball 2.

Review - Gran Turismo 6

Gran Turismo is a title that any with a PS1, PS2 or PS3 will recognize. It has been the synonymous and in some minds the uncrowned king when it comes to racing sims on consoles since it released. But if you go back and replay the first Gran Turismo game that released back in 1998 and compare it to what it looks like in the latest release, Gran Turismo 6 then you wouldn’t even know it was the same series because GT have always had one thing going for it, the graphics and the amount of details put into the overall product. Although with the release of the next-gen consoles it is strange to review a game that looks this good and seems to be fitting on a next-gen console when it just released on the PS3. But with so many gamers not being able to pick up a PS4 yet this might just be what they need right now.

Review - Assassins Creed IV Black Flag (PS4)

We have already reviewed AC IV Black Flag for the Xbox 360 but we thought it would be fun to check it out one more time, but this time on a Next-Gen console to see if it is worth getting again for those of you that already have it or if the differences are too small to even notice.

Review - Trine 2 Complete Story PS4

Trine 2 Complete Story Banner

I love the Trine games! I loved the first one and I adored the second one, the stunning fairytale styled visuals and the soothing background music mixed with the delightful mood of the narrator telling the entertaining story of the heroes as they embark out into these strange and wonderful landscapes. When I got word that I would get to review the PS4 version of Trine 2 I was all over it, next-gen Trine ? Sign me up!

Review - Call of Duty Ghosts PS4

We already reviewed Call of Duty: Ghosts for the Xbox 360 earlier but there is a new console in town and its name is PS4, and what is better than Call of Duty: Ghosts on a previous-gen console? Well Call of Duty: Ghosts on a next-gen console of course! Or is it...

Review - Adventure Time ETDBIDK

I love Adventure Time, as a parent I got hooked on it pretty early and even got my kids hooked on it by getting involved and watching it with them. It is a wonderful cartoon show that is just as much focused for adults as it focused on kids. So a game based on the series was a no brainer, I had to get my kids gathered around the TV and just hand them the controllers and let them do the work. Well actually I had to get my hands dirty myself after awhile.

Review - Ben 10 Omniverse 2

If you have a kid then chances are you have heard of Ben 10, even if you don't have kids and maybe you are a uncle or an aunt you know what and who Ben 10 is. If you don't then chances are you are either reading this review because you are a parent and need to get a Ben 10 game for your kid or you want to know what all the hype is about, either way, we have a review up for you that has been conducted with my two kids alongside as with any kid oriented game like this.

Review - Soul Calibur 2 HD Online

Soul Calibur is a fantastically entertaining fighting game series. And I have had the pleasure of enjoying every addition ever released that I could get my hands on, so when I got word that we would be getting review codes for Soul Calibur 2 HD Online I was first in line to get one, but then I realized that I might have played this game before, just not in HD or online...

Review - Saint Seiya Brave Soldiers

My job on this site is to review fighting games, and for those of you that know this genre a little better than most you know that there are a lot of great games in here but there is also a load of weird and obscure ones that sometimes makes your brain hurt. Also when the game is based on a animé or manga you know you are in trouble simply because if you are not a fan then chances are you will have a hard time knowing what the hell is going on half the time, enter Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers.

Review - Aquapazza Aquaplus Dream Match

I mentioned in another Japanese fighting game review that with the job of reviewing fighting games you come across a lot of deliciously entertaining games but then there are also those games where you just don’t know what the hell is going on half the time. Aquapazza Aquaplus Dream Match is one of those games and as I am writing this review I am still confused while I did play the game for as long as I did, but I am here to say that during this review I will probably get down to why that is and how this happened so lets get started shall we.

Review - Ratchet and Clank Into The Nexus

9257807616 75db80c650 z

Ratchet & Clank is a series of games that is well known to anyone who has ever owned a Playstation 2 or 3. The beloved duo has had it's ups and downs in the past but with the latest release, Into the Nexus I am delighted to tell you all that this is the Ratchet & Clank you came to love, there is only one small gripe with the whole thing.

Review - Assassins Creed IV Black Flag

AC4BF Hero

I have always dreamt of being a pirate and I always known that I would never get the chance to be a real one so I searched out the closest thing which is obviously video games. My first, and so far only love I found was back in the day when I started my journey to become a real pirate in the fantastic (and still my favourite game of all time) The Secret of Monkey Island, that is 23 years ago and I have been waiting for a game to shiver me timbers and make me not only eat my words but walk the plank while doing so and admit that there is room for more than one mighty pirate game in this world, and here we are, Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag just released upon us all.

Review - Call of Duty Ghosts

Call of Duty, a name that brings out either rage or love in every shooter game fan. It is the most selling shooter game and it is also one of the shooter games that brings out the most vocal fans and haters of the series for some reason. I do not hate, I participate. And I am here to tell you why you should or shouldn't pick up the latest Call of Duty game, COD: Ghosts.

Review - Battlefield 4

Battlefield 4 is one of the two biggest shooter franchises that you either love or you hate. The weird thing with this game and the other game that we also review is that even though the concept of them are both similar they are two completely different games both fighting for the top spot as the number one shooter on the market. But for me personally, I like both of them and I mention both of them in each of the reviews I do just to try and differentiate the two from each other making it easier for you to decide which one you want to pick up, first up its Battlefield 4

Review - WWE 2K14

The WWE franchise is no laughing matter, and since its humble beginning it has become one of the biggest selling sports entertainment franchises of all time, selling out PPV's left and right, making movies, music and yes, video games. I have followed the WWE game series since its beginning and I have also noticed how they have slowly gone from a inventive game series to a repetitive one with the last release being the strongest in a line-up of lacklustre games lately. But I never give up on the franchise and was eager and hopeful once again to see if WWE 2K14 could give me some of what made me such a fan of this series a long time ago.
