Review - L.A. Noire

L.A. Noire first released back in 2011 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, and later that year it came to PC. With legendary company Rockstar Games behind the developer wheel and Team Bondi in charge of developing the game the world was buzzing. But even though the game released to mostly critical success Team Bondi shut down later on with rumours of bad working conditions and not being able to secure a new game. Team Bondi went all out with L.A. Noire and the game flaunted its incredible face rendering mechanics, which gave the players the ability to play detective and spot a liar just by looking at how the character acted and talked which at that time was revolutionary. So years have passed and we are ready to check out the Remastered version of a classic as we review the Xbox One version of L.A. Noire Remastered

Review - Assassins Creed Rogue

ACRO hero

This is the end, beautiful friend, the end. Well, to be fair, this is a Assassin's Creed game so technically it is not the end, my friend but this might just be the last time the last-gen consoles get their very own Assassin's Creed game. And with a release of another Assassin's Creed game on the current-gen consoles it is not that hard for some to make their decision as to which they want to pick up thinking they are both basically the same. But they are not, this is Rogue and not Unity, this is more Black Flag 2 than anything else if you need something to compare it to, but wait, I enjoyed it.

Review - Borderlands the Pre-Sequel

When Borderlands the Pre-Sequel was first released I thought it was a new expansion to Borderlands 2, and it is somewhat that depending on what you expect from a new standalone Borderlands game. I was hoping for some changes but the overall feel and look of the game to stay the same and I was pleased in some ways but also a little disappointed in some other ways, it is complicated so enjoy reading me trying to express my feelings on the new Borderlands game Borderlands the Pre-Sequel.

Review - Child of Light

Child of Light was hyped up before release and even though the screen-shots clearly showed it was a beautiful looking game, and the fact that the developers behind the successful Rayman franchise was behind it I was actually lacklustre regarding the release and wasn't really reading too much into the hype as I have burned myself on doing so in the past, but once I finally got the game and sat down and played it I knew why this game got the hype it did, and here is what I think of Child of Light.

Review - South Park The Stick of Truth

South Park came onto the scene like a nuclear bomb, it was an instant hit. From the humble animated shorts from two people Matt Stone and Trey Parker to the blockbuster movies, numerous seasons and a batch of video games, but with the release of Stick of Truth I can honestly say that in my mind South Park has finally made it into the video games industry with this gem of a game.

Review - Pac-Man Museum

capsule 467x181

Everybody loves Pac-Man, at least there was a time where everybody did but maybe not so much any more. But that is all about to change, because Pac-Man is once again being put into the spotlight with the release of Pac-Man Museum, a collection of Pac-Man games. So the question is, do we really need a collection of Pac-Man games? The short answer is yes, the long answer as to why is in this review of Pac-Man Museum.

Review - Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD

Fresh off the boat, as we just reviewed Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag a few months back we get another Assassin's Creed release in the form of Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD available for PS3, PC and Xbox 360. Previously available only on the PS Vita this is a strict port for those of you that haven’t already experienced this game. We get to play around with the Xbox 360 version of the game and this is what we think about it.

Review - Call of Duty Ghosts

Call of Duty, a name that brings out either rage or love in every shooter game fan. It is the most selling shooter game and it is also one of the shooter games that brings out the most vocal fans and haters of the series for some reason. I do not hate, I participate. And I am here to tell you why you should or shouldn't pick up the latest Call of Duty game, COD: Ghosts.

Review - Battlefield 4

Battlefield 4 is one of the two biggest shooter franchises that you either love or you hate. The weird thing with this game and the other game that we also review is that even though the concept of them are both similar they are two completely different games both fighting for the top spot as the number one shooter on the market. But for me personally, I like both of them and I mention both of them in each of the reviews I do just to try and differentiate the two from each other making it easier for you to decide which one you want to pick up, first up its Battlefield 4

Review - WWE 2K14

The WWE franchise is no laughing matter, and since its humble beginning it has become one of the biggest selling sports entertainment franchises of all time, selling out PPV's left and right, making movies, music and yes, video games. I have followed the WWE game series since its beginning and I have also noticed how they have slowly gone from a inventive game series to a repetitive one with the last release being the strongest in a line-up of lacklustre games lately. But I never give up on the franchise and was eager and hopeful once again to see if WWE 2K14 could give me some of what made me such a fan of this series a long time ago.

Review - Castlevania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate HD

Ah Castlevania, just the name itself brings back so incredibly many memories all the way to my NES days as a kid playing through the series. Fast forwards way to many years for me to publicly announce just because it shows that, yes I am getting old, and here we are, with a HD remade version of the now classic 3DS version of the game, Lords of Shadow: Mirror of Fate. So how does the game run and look on the big screen, well...

Review - How to Survive

How to Survive is a zombie survival …. wait where are you going?? It isn't like every other game ok? I promise. Ok so How to Survive is a zombie survival game that feels like a mix between a Diablo game, Minecraft and a Dead Island game. Now if you take these three elements and combine them there should be a lot of enjoyment right there for you but in reality, too much of anything isnt always a good thing. How to Survive is one of those games that probably will sail by in the night without causing too much ruckus.

Review - Magrunner Dark Pulse

Magrunner: Dark Pulse is one of those games that just suddenly popped up on the release list and not too many people knew what it was to be honest, but we love those kind of games where you can just boot them up and not know what to expect, so we did. And Magrunner: Dark Pulse makes me feel stupid, but that is not the games fault...

Review - Farming Simulator

This is a weird one to get to review, it is one of those games that if you go into a store not knowing what you want chances are you are not going to pick this up simply by its name or the box art itself. However, this is also one of those games that manages to get picked up by the right people, and in this case it was the people at Yogscast and their millions of followers who started playing this game when it first released on the PC and the game started selling like hotcakes. However, the reason most people picked it up was because it was one of those glitch-fest games, the ones where you play around with your friends to see how much weirdness you can pick up and how you can get the hardest glitch of them all, it was not picked up because of its impressive story, gameplay mechanics etc. However, this bit of information didn’t seem to reach the developers as they thought it would be a great idea to also release this game for console where it sadly because repetitive and boring rather quickly and all the previous magic was gone.

Review - Lost Planet 3

It is time to once again review a Lost Planet game, the last one, Lost Planet 2 was a weird one where I found myself loving something almost everyone else hated. Yes it had a lot of things go wrong but what did go right for the game made me love it so much that I was actually excited and eager to get my hands on Lost Planet 3, and here we are with our review of Lost Planet 3. Third times the charm right?

Review - TMNT: Out of the Shadows

2084TMNT X360 Packshot PEGI-354x500

I grew up on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES, that was one of the games I had to play over and over again and again, and I loved every second of it. Since then there has been numerous of game, movie and TV show releases branded with the Ninja Turtles and they all gather up a nice following and usually sells good enough for them to keep pumping out different TMNT titles. However, sometimes the name itself isn’t enough to instantly make a game good enough to deserve the name brand or recognition and I am sad to say that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is one of these games.

Review - Charlie Murder

How many games have you played that is all about punk, anything? No? Well have no fear fellow punks, our calling is here and it's name is Charlie Murder

Brothers TaleOfTwoSons

Summer of Arcade is upon us and boy does it start off with a bang, I am trying to withhold the excitement I have about this game so that you can read my review, but wow... Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is something else.

Review - Dynasty Warriors 8

Dynasty-Warriors-8 2013 04-03-13 038.jpg 600

Dynasty Warriors is one of those games that you either love or you really don't know anything about the games, but chances are you have at least heard of the franchise that has now managed to get 7 games released in the series and we got the 8 one ready to be reviewed, and we took our sweet time with it too. The question is, how can something stay relevant after this many releases, it can't can it?
