Review - WWE 2K19

WWE 2K19 returns in yearly fashion, slowly but surely this franchise has seen a dive since the classic WWE Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain was released back in 2003. Year after year the WWE has been pumping out yearly releases within the franchise with somewhat lackluster respons but year after year here I am, eagerly awaiting the next release. Could WWE 2K19 silence the critics and release the classic all us wrestling fans are waiting for or is it yet another polished game with lackluster gameplay.

Review - South Park: The Fracture But Whole

Everybody know the story of South Park by now and if you don't then you should really look it up as it is an amazing story of two people who took a holiday greeting video, with paper-cut stop motion video and made it into one of the most, if not the most, important cartoon experiences since the introduction of Mickey Mouse... Yeah I said it. The Stick of Truth did similar things, as the creators pushed the bar as for what was excepted as entertainment and really gave the players a story which at times felt uncomfortable playing, at least I felt so.

Review - Middle-Earth: Shadow of War

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor came out of nowhere and quickly claimed its rightfully place as many gamers and gaming websites' number one game back in 2014. It was also one of my personal favourites that year. It wasn't the story that made it so compelling but the “nemesis system” which they introduced and made the game so special. I was personally excited to get my hands on Shadow of War thinking they would build upon the system and perfect it but after 40+ hours I was sadly left with the feeling that it is more of the same

Review - WWE 2K18

WWE is not what it once was, it used to be the number one TV show, it killed of rival its rival wrestling shows WCW and ECW and became the only place for wrestling for years. But times have changed, and the UFC has grabbed most of the hardcore wrestling fans and WWE is seeing its worst years as of lately. But even though the TV show is chugging along another thing that has always been reliable is the fact that we each year get a new wrestling game. But sadly even these have seen more downs then ups these last couple of years. Me however, I am always positive and even though I have struggled through every WWE game release and review all of them throughout the years I have always found something I enjoyed with them, but WWE 2k18 is really giving me a hard time.

Review - Destiny 2

We return to one of the most anticipated sequels in history of video games... Well, that might be exaggerated a bit but I remember I kept hearing while Destiny 1 was still fresh in peoples mind that they hoped Destiny 2 would fix all the things we hated with Destiny 1 and it would be a perfect game. But when Taken King released it kind of repaired all the damage the first release came with so playing Destiny 2 they not only fixed what was wrong with Destiny they made it even better, yes Destiny 2 is better than Destiny, there I said it, now read my review before you sharpen your pitchforks.

Review - Nidhogg 2

Nidhogg 2 is the greatest game ever created! It is game of the year this year, and next year... well not really but right now it truly is for this reviewer. Nidhogg 2 is just what I needed right now and I am going to enjoy this game with my friends and family for a long, long time

Review - Unbox: Newbie's Adventure

As far as I can tell this is Prospect Games first release, and I always find it interesting to check out a fresh developer teams first game so I jumped on the opportunity to check out Unbox: Newbie's Adventure. The title in itself really didn't tell me anything but a few gameplay trailers peeked my interest, I mean how many times in your life have you played as a cardboard box? Exactly

Review - Agents of Mayhem

From the creators of Saints Row we get a new and action packed game. It is more of a crossover to be fair but putting the two up against each other you can clearly see these are two separate games. So how could this be bad? Well, the only problem is that with the success of Saints Row 3 and arguably 4 I kind of felt like something was missing from Agents of Mayhem

Review - The Escapist 2

The people behind Worms, Team 17, surprised me with the release of The Escapist and since then I have been addicted to the game. So I wasn't hard to convince when I was asked if I was interested in reviewing The Escapist 2

Review - The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing came out of nowhere when it first released and took our reviewer by storm. It was just what he wanted at that specific time in his life and it served up a delicious treat and got a well deserved score in return. Years has passed and the opportunity to try out the second game in the series as it released on the current-gen consoles I had to jump in and try it out for myself and even though you might think this is nothing more than a Diablo clone there is so much more lurking beneath the surface of The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II

Review - Tekken 7

If you have been around for at least a few years in the gaming industry, either as a writer or just a fan of video games you know there are two fighting games that everyone mentions when asked if they can name some, one is Street Fighter the other, is Tekken. I remember spending way too much time with one specific Tekken game while I was stationed in the Army because all they had was a dusty old Playstation and one game, Tekken 2. But years have passed and here we are ready to explore yet another numbered Tekken game namely Tekken 7.

Review - Tales of Berseria

I love exploring games that I have no previous experiences with, it is like a loot filled chest with everything you always wanted or something you never knew you always wanted, but sometimes that chest grows teeth and starts chasing you and you run away from that chest promising yourself never to return to it. Luckily for me, Tales of Berseria lands in the middle, it is a game I had no idea I would get so into.

Review - Double Dragon 4

I remember me and my nephew, celebrating a winter holiday at my grandpas house, with a NES and Double Dragon rented from the local video shop. It might have been the greatest weekend of my life. And here we are, I am now a grown man with kids of my own and playing Double Dragon 4 on my Playstation 4...

Review - Dishonored 2

I have always been a huge fan of the stealth-based game genre, and Dishonored was one of my favourite games the year it released. It played through it numerous times with different experiences each time and with the release of Dishonored 2 I was overexcited to once again see what this series had in stores for me this year. However, I didn't expect it to be even better than its previous release in every way possible.

Review - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Special Edition)

The Elder Scrolls is one of my top game series of all time, as with most fans I started my love for the series with the release of Oblivion but has since then gone back and played Morrowind. So when Skyrim was announced I was beyond excited and here we are, years later and I am reviewing one of the greatest experiences of all time all over again but this time on a Playstation 4 with the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition.

Review - Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

It is time for a new Call of Duty, love it or hate it but it is still one of the most successful franchise in gaming history and you can never take that away from them. And speaking of love and hate, there has always been those feeling whenever you speak on a new Call of Duty release as you have you haters from the start who don't enjoy the games and instantly hate on them before they even release and you have the opposite team which are Call of Duty purists and claim this is the gift from God when it comes to FPS. Luckily for me I belong to none of these camps as I always try something before I make up my mind about it.

Review - Modern Warfare Remastered

I remember playing Call of Duty on Playstation 3, and how amazed I was at the visuals for this game. I remember thinking that this would be it, this would be the greatest FPS game ever created, and even though many years have passed since my brain worked like that, the Call of Duty franchise might just have some of the best FPS games in history but one thing is for certain, it is one of the most successful franchise ever created. And here we are, years later and we already got a remake of the forth Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare: Remastered for the Playstation 4.

Review - Skylanders Imaginators

Whenever I am tasked with reviewing a game mainly focused on kids I turn to my own kids, hand them the controllers and just sit back and take notes. Not only what I myself see but how the experience make them feel and how easy it is for them to interact with the game. But whenever a huge package from Activision turns up at our door and I know it is Skylanders season the weekend is usually set and the kids can't get their hands on the game fast enough.

Review - Dragon Quest Builders

What if you took Minecraft and the beloved Dragon Quest universe and mixed them all into one brand new experience? It would probably be the greatest game ever created right? Well, to fans of both games it might be considered that but to anyone the slightest interested in either of the two this would still seem like a perfect fit. Well, Dragon Quest Builders borrows elements from Minecraft and tries to make a new experience out of it and it works, kind of.
