Review - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Blood and Wine DLC

The Witcher 3 had my game of the year title back when it released last year. A year has passed and it is still one of the best experiences I have had on the new consoles. I finally finished the latest DLC Blood and Wine and I’ll be damned if this isn't one of the best games I have played in a...

Ah, the Bermuda Triangle, a ancient legend that has been played out for years while still nobody has been able to answer its questions. Seems fitting to call a game that takes place within this triangle Lost Sea, and that is precisely what Eastasiasoft has called their latest game

Review - Fenix Furia

Fenix Furia is as close to a new Super Meatboy game you can get at the moment. It is a 2D action platformer which calls for quick reactions and 100 % total control of the controller at all times. With hairpin precision this is one of those “try and fail” games where you at times pull every...

Lets be honest, if you own a Playstation there is no chance in hell you do not already know what the Uncharted series is. Either you have played all of them, played some of them or at least one of them and you already have a opinion on whether you like the series or not. If you are reading this...

Review - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan

PlatinumGames has a couple of games that I hold dearly, MadWorld, Bayonetta and last but not least Transformers: Devastation, but they have also made some games that I was not particularly excited about like Anarchy Reigns and The Legend of Korra, so I was a little afraid when I was set with...

The second episode of the new Hitman game is upon us and after numerous play through and a playtime of too many hours to even share with you we finally reached a verdict. This is, for some people, the make or break if they should buy all the episodes or just leave it at that first episode, but...

Review - Ratchet and Clank (PS4)

Ratchet and Clank brings back a lot of good memories for me personally. I remember when me and my brother in law got addicted to the first Ratchet and Clank game, when we shared an apartment back in the day. Our days consisted of working, getting home from work, then return to Ratchet and...

Review - Stories: The Path of Destinies

Stories: The Path of Destinies is a narrative game and as the title implies it has a path of destinies, not a destiny but multiple destinies. It puts you in the role of a fox named Reynardo and you are pinned against an evil frog who has ravens as his employers. With the help of a book Reynardo...

Review - Dark Souls III

After about 2-3 minutes into Dark Souls III I met my first boss, not random, it was meant for us to cross paths at this moment, and at that exact moment I knew I had made a huge mistake trying to do this review for Dark Souls III in time. However, I survived, not only that battle but all the...

Review - Hitman Episode 1: Paris

As a long time Hitman fan it is always scary for me personally whenever a new Hitman game releases, not because I am afraid it won't live up to my expectations but simply the fear of not having enough time to play it all the time, stupid sleep and family. You can imagine my ears perked up when...

I played this original game when it first released, back then I was 12 years old, I am now … older than that but it still evokes the same amazing experience as it did back then. And that is a true testament to how incredible good this game was, and is. I go back to my childhood and re-play the...

The PS4 edition becomes the biggest Diablo III console launch, pipping the original Xbox 360 Edition by around 500 units

Created on Tuesday, 26 August 2014

Diablo-3-Ultimate-Evil

‘Diablo III Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition’ brings Activision Blizzard’s long-running Action RPG to PS4 and Xbox One and in the process hands the franchise its first ever All Formats No1.

Originally launched on PC in May 2012, Diablo III debuted at No2 and was propelled back up to No3 in September 2013 thanks to its appearance on Xbox 360 and PS3.

Launch week sales of the Ultimate Evil Edition (which also includes the original game) were split: 47% on PS4, 32% on Xbox One, 13% on Xbox 360 and 8% on PS3.

The PS4 edition becomes the biggest Diablo III console launch, pipping the original Xbox 360 edition by around 500 units.

‘The Last of Us: Remastered’ (-24%) drops to No2 after a three week run at the top, ahead of a rejuvenated ‘Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare’ (+200%) which sprouts up from No15 to No3 thanks to new PS4 and PS3 versions.

Sales of ‘Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition’ are up 5%, leaving it down one place at No4, while sales of the PS3 edition drop 5% making it slip two places to No7.

‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ (+7%) rises one place to No5, no doubt feeling the continued beneficial effects of the recently launched fourth and final DLC pack ‘Nemesis’.  Previously at either No1 or No2, this week ‘Watch Dogs’ (-11%) drops out of the Top 5, down to No6.

‘The Lego Movie Videogame’ (-11%) and ‘GTA V’ (+3%) are still proving popular, at No’s 8 and 9 respectively.  J-RPG ‘Tales of Xillia 2’ from Bandai Namco manages a Top 10 debut at No10, meaning ‘FIFA 14’ (-24%) falls out of the Top 10 for the first time, slipping 5 places from No7 to No12.
